Back and Butter then ever.... (RECIPE ALERT)

Well, here I am back from Miami and I have to say I figured out a few things.  I am thinking Papi is not Cuban after all... He only has 5 of the things listed.   (Papi, Cigars, Lipstick, Lingerie, High Heels)  Maybe he's 50%... IJS

2--, when you have all the time in the world, like I did, exercise is easy. I had no trouble getting in enough steps because anytime I was idle for too long I was ready to push on and see something else.

3--, the daily grind makes this harder.  Now that I am back, I have to force myself out of my seat.  Work demands attention, Kids need and demand attention, Hubbz... well he is the Hubbz and I like giving him my attention.  Did I mention Thor?  Cutest Puppy EVER!

Weigh in:
SO I ACTUALLY took off a few more pounds! Yay me!  I purchased a new scale that gives Body Composition Analysis. It is important to understand what is going on inside.  Especially when weight numbers are not moving.  My Dr. recommends that I lose 100 FAT lbs.  (roughly, I am at 178.6 lbs of FAT)  This does not mean I will lose that much weight.  We should see some muscle mass gained. (God Lort!! toes must be done in ALL pics)

Week 1 312 lbs
Week 2 300 lbs
Week 3 302 lbs  (cheated; but could have hit resistance from the big initial drop)
Week 4 300 lbs 
Week 5 304 lbs
Week 6 301 lbs
Week 7 298 lbs 

My next round of HCG will start on or about August 1st, with the load days being 7/29, 7/30, and 7/31.  (providing my shipment clears customs in time!) For this round I plan detox those days with veggie shakes, very limited fruits, and a decent low carb protein powder.  I have to make this round really count.  I have two brave souls joining me.  Thus far, the loss is great, but its neck and neck with regular dieting. 

I made it through the Birthday Weekend (Family June/July Party) and kept things in normal mode.  1 cupcake not 10.  And as you can see from the pictures that was REALLY HARD.  I will do a post on those later... FAUX Gourmet Cupcakes... 60 total count, less then $.59 each.  Still amazed on this on...

And I want to close with a recipe I discovered for Butter.  You read that right, Butter.  

SEASONED BUTTER:  Jr and I liked this so much on our steak that we started dipping our asparagus in it--hence I started using it on my steamed or frozen veggies. NOTE, this butter takes place of ANY SEASONING
on my veggies. Use 1TBSP at a time. The truth about butter, used sparingly, 1x daily and in the correct serving (1TBSP) is GOOD for you and provides many more health benefits then the PROCESSED counter parts. (Dr. Zach explains here:  https://www.insideoutwellness.net/why-fats-are-ok-for-the-hcg-diet/) Yes, it cost more-- but you use less, and the flavor is unbeatable.

1/2 pound unsalted butter, softened1 tablespoon roasted garlic
1 tablespoon Pink Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 finely chopped shallots
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh sage
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary

Thoroughly combine softened butter with garlic, salt, pepper, shallots, parsley, sage and rosemary. Roll with plastic wrap into a log shape 1-inch in diameter; refrigerate 2 hours or until butter is solid or speed up by placing in freezer. (Note: Recipe will yield 16 butter servings)  Steam veggies of your choice and add butter at end.  Toss to coat and enjoy!

Round Ended Early

Well, to say the least, I ended up ending this round of HCG early.  I stopped my dosage of sublingual drops last week on Thursday.  The events of the past week partnered with my personal partner TOM... proved to be to much for me to squeeze out those final days.   I am an emotional eater and I have been battling this my entire life.

There is a slight gain, which is to be expected when you are entering the maintenance phase.
Results are as follows:

Week 1 312 lbs
Week 2 300 lbs
Week 3 302 lbs  (cheated; but could have hit resistance from the big initial drop)
Week 4 300 lbs
Week 5 304 lbs

I am a bit disappointed.  I had the potential to get under 300 lbs and did not pull it off.  My results are a bit under what is expected.  Roughly, 8lbs in 25 days.  (typical should have been 12-13 lbs) BUT... a loss is a loss and I will take it.  My target until the next round is to stay at the  304 lbs.  No gains. Losses ok.

As for the rest, I only updated today for accountability and transparency.  Right now; I am not sure what to say or how to feel.  I hope that a common ground of safety for individuals as well as our police is found. 
After-all the violence that has continued all weekend long...I just do not believe that right now we have it in us.  My guess is we are going to spiral downward until some kind of Justice is served.

Week 4 Last FULL WEEK of VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet

If you been following along, you know that I slipped big time last Sunday and paid dearly on the scale with a gain. This weekend proves even more difficult with the holiday and my birthday. 

(humming Gloria Gaynor... "I WILL SURVIVE!")  I weighed today and had a loss!  Then I come back to the office and my supervisor had went and purchased Fluellen's for my Birthday!-- JEEZ... hardest thing ever was to skip the Banana Pudding Cupcake... but I dodged the bullet.

Progress this far:

Week 1 312 lbs
Week 2 300 lbs
Week 3 302 lbs  (cheated; but could have hit resistance from the big initial drop)
Week 4 300 lbs

Not as much off this week as I would have liked.  Plus side?  I am really in love with my scrambled eggs and FRESH Salsa for breakfast.  I have a food processor that cubes tomatoes without crushing them.  AMAZZZZZING.  I will do a review once I am back from vacation!

I need to be honest, the cheating really messed me over.  I had trouble every day until Thursday and that was the D-Day... if I could not follow the plan I would need to quit this round and set the weight I had lost.  Late night carb cravings were the worst and I was losing the battle.  Strange things occurred like a serving of cookies instead of a serving of protein.  One might think well, the calorie count was not alot higher, or I still stayed below my goal for the day, right?  WRONG!  The reason for this is HCG is very UNFORGIVING.  If you are not on protocol the scale will snitch and tell it all. Your success is tied directly into how well you can follow the plan.  Even more specific, the 1st 10 days are the most important. 

This week I decided to try out the Pure Garcinia Cambogia Liquid Extract. 
I had tried tablet form before and did not notice a difference in my appetite.  I decided to try the Liquid because I have a better absorption most of the time.  

Dr. Zach does recommend supplementing it along with the HCG 2.0 protocol.  He sells a brand on his site.  The effects that are expected are:
  • Increased energy*
  • Decreases in sugar cravings*
  • Decreases in appetite*
  • Preventing carbohydrate and protein conversion to fat*
  • Inhibiting loss of lean muscle mass*
